Project Description

Commercial Wood Floors Manchester | Solid Wood Floor Installation

The redevelopment of Irlam Train Station, and in particular the solid wood flooring, was thanks to the great partnership work between Hamilton Davies Trust, Salford City Council, North Cheshire Developments, Transport for Greater Manchester, Network Rail, Northern Rail and the Friends of Irlam Station who have combined resources to give the station the makeover it badly deserves. Master joiner and fitter Christopher Blankhorn was appointed to design and install the commercial solid woods by Ted Todd.

A solid wood floor was specified for the cafe and restaurant area, conference rooms and the seating areas. The commercial floor had to be able to withstand high foot traffic and be able to be sanded down and restored many times if necessary.
